Same shop, same man in the grey short-sleeved shirt with a tape measure round his neck, same alley with the black bicycle and three potted plants as the reference image. THE CAMERA IS NOW INSIDE THE SHOP, standing in the dim interior about 2 metres behind the owner, looking OUT through the doorway. The owner has his back to us and is standing in his own doorway facing the alley. We see ONLY the back of him — the back of his head and neck, both shoulders in the grey shirt, and the tape measure hanging down his back. HIS FACE IS NOT VISIBLE AT ALL and he is not turned toward the camera. He is a large near-silhouette against the bright alley, slightly left of centre and slightly out of focus. Beyond him, framed by the dark doorway, the sunlit alley is sharp: the bicycle, the potted plants, the laundry basket, the receding wall. There is no other person in the picture.
