A STRICT TOP-DOWN PLAN VIEW, camera mounted directly overhead about 8 metres up with the lens pointing straight down at 90 degrees at the ground. This is a plan, like a floor plan photographed from a drone. ABSOLUTELY NO facade, NO shopfront, NO signboard, NO sky, NO horizon and NO wall elevation is visible anywhere in the frame — only the ground plane seen from directly above. What is on the ground: the cracked concrete of a narrow Korean back alley in late afternoon; the dark rectangle of an open shop threshold with a doormat; a black bicycle lying in the frame as a long thin shape seen from directly above, its two wheels as flat ellipses and its handlebars as a bar; three potted plants as circles of leaves radiating outward; a rectangular plastic laundry basket of folded clothes; and a man standing in the threshold seen from directly above — only the top of his head, his two shoulders and the toes of his shoes, with his long shadow stretching sideways across the concrete.
