A public open-air swimming pool floating on the Han river, moored in the span between two piers of a road bridge, photographed just after sunset in midsummer. The pool is a plain rectangular pontoon deck with a 25-metre lane pool and a shallow paddling end, edged by a steel handrail and blue rubber matting. Underwater lights turn the water pale turquoise, and that glow throws moving ripple patterns onto the concrete underside of the bridge deck above. Twenty or so swimmers and families; a lifeguard on a plastic chair; towels over the railing; a stack of kickboards. Beyond the bridge, the city skyline is a low band of warm windows and cool neon reflected in the black river. Traffic light-trails on the bridge overhead. Municipal, practical, slightly worn — not a luxury resort. Real documentary photography, entirely plausible. No real company logo, no real brand name.
