[동네 이웃] 방충망의 매미

A cicada on the window screen: seen from inside a Korean apartment, a large brown-and-green cicada clinging to the grey insect mesh of an open sliding window, abdomen tensed mid-song, wings folded clear and veined. The mesh grid is visible and the cicada fills about one fifth of the frame width, placed in the upper centre. Behind the screen, out of focus, the green leaves of a zelkova tree in the apartment complex and a sliver of the opposite building. Bright midsummer midday light, macro, shallow depth of field.
