A towering glacier calving face at the edge of a still fjord: a deep vertical crack has opened behind a massive pillar of blue ice the height of a skyscraper, the pillar leaning out over the water by a few degrees. For the whole shot fine ice dust and small fragments trickle down the crack, a thin stream of meltwater runs from the fissure, and the pillar shifts almost imperceptibly, but it never breaks off and never falls.
